  Moondrifter 105 – property 1009173 February 3, 2018 thru March 3, 2018 Bugs, Bugs, Bugs - As much as I'd like to give this property a good review, I just can't. The negatives far outnumber the positives for this unit. We were very disappointed. Bugs every day in every room, the furniture and throw pillows had an old musty smell, the bed spread in the master bedroom was put on in reverse to hide the dirty side, there was a burned out florescent light fixture in the hallway, several covers on the florescent lights were broken, there were bad ceiling tiles above the wash basin in the guest bathroom, the exhaust fans in both bathrooms were plugged up with dust/grime and didn't work properly, bathtub and shower were filthy, there was broken glass chips on the guest bathroom floor, the stove top, micro-wave and floors were filthy, grease from the vent above the stove dripped on to the stove top, entry way into the unit was dirty and moldy. There were no cleaning supplies, each bathroom had one roll of toilet paper and a small bar of hand soap, the kitchen had one roll of paper towel. There were some positives such as the appliances were modern and worked properly. there were plenty of utensils, pots, pans, dishes, etc. It had great bath towels and wash cloths, the unit had been newly painted throughout and looks good (but the painters did a poor job of clean up - paint splatter on counter tops, faucets and floors throughout). I cleaned the unit entry way as best I could and fixed a broken toilet paper hanger in the master bath. The unit had plenty of space but is way over priced as it currently is. It needs to have some new furniture and a few hundred dollars would take care of most minor issues. Some suggestions would be to provide an extra blanket or two and put up a curtain in the guest bedroom as light shines in at night. And, the first thing I would do is fire the cleaning service and make sure the property manager inspects the unit before it is rented out.
